Artist's Description
This was the first bull elk I saw in Yellowstone. It was only about 5 miles into the park from the west entrance and he had a small harem of cows with him. He wasn't the biggest bull but he was quite a handsome fella. He stayed on the opposite side of the river from the road while his girls mingled around the parked cars on our side of the river. He eventually walked up over the hill out of sight.

My love for photography started at a young age. While my main focus over the years has been sports photography, in the last 3 or 4 years I've really developed a passion for wildlife photography. There is something challenging and magical about seeing animals in the wild and being able to observe and photograph them in their natural habitats.
